Your details

How Viewed Through A Lens uses the details you send through this website. Last updated 26 October 2026.

Who is responsible

Viewed Through A Lens is responsible for the personal details you send through this website. If you have a question about them, email lee@viewed-through-a-lens.co.uk or call07713 248489.

What I collect

When you send an enquiry: your name and email address, plus anything else you choose to include, such as your phone number, the services you’re interested in, a date, a venue or location, your message and how you heard about me.

Netlify, which hosts this site and handles the form, also records the IP address and browser details sent with each enquiry, to help filter out spam.

Why I use it

Only to reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to plan and provide the photography or filming you’ve asked for. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and, if you book, carrying out that contract. I don’t add enquiries to a mailing list or share them for marketing.

Who else handles it

Two services handle your details on my behalf: Netlify, which hosts this website and stores form enquiries, and Google Workspace, which runs my email (each enquiry is emailed to me). They work under their own data protection terms and may store data outside the UK.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that don’t become a booking are deleted after 12 months. If you book, I keep your details for as long as I need them to provide the service and for as long as the law requires for business records.

Browsing this site

This site uses no cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Like any web host, Netlify processes your IP address to deliver the pages. The Instagram and Facebook links take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details I hold about you, have them corrected or deleted, or object to how I use them. Emaillee@viewed-through-a-lens.co.uk and I’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how your details have been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office atico.org.uk/make-a-complaint (opens in a new tab)or on 0303 123 1113.
